For the first time since 2005, Shell launched a national advertising campaign highlighting the benefits of our most advanced fuel ever, new Nitrogen Enriched Shell V-Power. The campaign kicks off with a dedicated TV commercial aimed at consumers who drive vehicles with manufacturers that either recommend or require premium gasoline. This is just one component of a national marketing campaign that also includes radio and online activities.

"The Power of the V" commercial is aimed at engaging and helping to educate these consumers that all premium gasolines are not the same. The commercial represents our commitment and passion to providing high quality gasolines, like Shell V-Power, to drivers and auto enthusiasts seeking maximum engine protection for optimum vehicle performance.

The dedicated Shell V-Power TV commercial tells a story through a series of short, engaging vignettes focused on the drivers of vehicles that recommend or require premium gasoline. Regardless of the person, the lifestyle, or the cars (or motorcycles) they drive - the one factor that links them all together is the use of Shell V-Power to help fuel their passion. The commonality is displayed as if part of a group or club with each member acknowledging the other with the "V" sign.

This TV commercial is a tribute to Shell V-Power customers who have made Shell V-Power America's best-selling premium gasoline. In fact, all of the vehicles featured in the commercial recommend or require premium gasoline, and "real life" automotive enthusiasts were included in the video along with the actors. The emotion that builds throughout the Shell V-Power spot is meant to provide reassurance of the right choice and desire to be part of the "movement." As the voiceover says, "there's no mistaking the power of the V."
